Lab managers of non-ferrous metal plants from different European countries met at this annual conference for presentations and discussions about various topics of laboratory work.
Special interest of the numerous participants has been attracted by the fluxers presented by HRT Labortechnik GmbH. These units are designed for the automatic fusion of glass beads for XRF and preparation of solutions for ICP, AA and wet chemistry. For 26 years, HRT Labortechnik GmbH has been representing in Europe the Canadian maker of fine fusion instruments CLAISSE www.claisse.com. Customers receive from the various chemists competent support developing methods, defining an application and selection of relevant program parameters for a perfect fusion of their samples.

Goal of this conference is the presentation of developments of spectrometric methods of different kinds in analytics. It is being held every three years alternating in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Organizer of this event is the Swiss working group for Spectrometrics and Elemental Analysis (SASP).
On the occasion of this venue, HRT Labortechnik GmbH had the pleasure to welcome a large number of qualified visitors from different European countries. Participants in the exhibition appreciated the wide range of certified reference materials for calibration in XRF, OE and combustion analysis. HRT Labortechnik GmbH had on display gas and electric driven CLAISSE fusion instruments. The weighing and fusion robot rFUSION attracted special interest.
Topic of our speech as to borate fusion was “Total Cement and Raw Materials Fusion / XRF Analytical Solution”.
CETAS 2011 - 8th International Workshop on Progress in Analytical Chemistry and Materials Characterisation in the Steel and Metal Industries
HRT Labortechnik GmbH participated from May 17th to 19th, 2011, in the CETAS 2011, being held every three years in Luxemburg.
Major interest has been attracted by the CLAISSE www.claisse.com fusion instruments exhibited on the booth of HRT Labortechnik GmbH, being - for 25 years - the agent of CLAISSE in different European countries.
Within the section of “Automation in Laboratories”, we held a lecture with the title
“Integration of Robotized Borate Fusion Technique for the XRF Analysis in the Ferroalloy Industry”
In addition, HRT Labortechnik GmbH gave a poster presentation on the DIPERMET unit, the only commercially available instrument for the
Determination of Hydrogen Diffusion in Steel Plates to be enameled – fish scale test EN 10209
